Activities & Places to See
- Dunn’s River Falls – One of Jamaica’s most famous natural attractions, where visitors can climb cascading waterfalls and enjoy the lush tropical surroundings. Unfortunately, it was closed due to weather during our visit, so it’s best to check ahead and avoid days when cruise ships are in port.
- Bob Marley Museum – Located in Kingston, this former home of the reggae legend offers an intimate look into his life, music, and legacy, featuring personal artefacts, memorabilia, and guided tours.
- Rick’s Café – A lively spot in Negril, famous for its breathtaking sunsets, live music, and daring cliff diving into the clear Caribbean waters below.
- Rose Hall Great House – A beautifully restored Georgian mansion near Montego Bay, known for its fascinating history and ghostly legends surrounding the infamous White Witch of Rose Hall.
Shopping & Nightlife
Shopping is centred around small American-style malls, which are best reached by hiring a car or driver. Nightlife tends to be hotel-based, offering entertainment and bars within the resorts.
