Toms Trip To Zimbabwe Macro

This trip was a perfect blend of heart-pounding adventures, close wildlife encounters, and moments of pure serenity. From the roar of Victoria Falls to the untamed beauty of Mana Pools, each day offered something new, making it a journey to remember.

Location

We arrived at Victoria Falls International Airport, warmly welcomed by a Vayeni representative. Swiftly transported to Batonka Guest Lodge, nestled in a serene neighbourhood just a short stroll from the town center. The hotel's modern ambiance coupled with a cozy feel provided the ideal retreat for our three-night stay—a perfect haven to unwind. Batonka Guest Lodge exceeded our expectations with impeccable service, delightful cuisine, and comfortable accommodations. A delightful surprise, it offered a peaceful escape from the town's hustle, yet its proximity allowed easy exploration of nearby attractions.

What I Loved

I loved day two, we cranked up the excitement meter by teaming up with the Wild Horizons crew for some white water rafting action on the Zambezi River. The backdrop of basalt rock and the roar of the falls set the scene for an epic ride. It was a bit of a workout, especially with the steep hike in and out of the Batoka Gorge, but conquering those rapids was totally worth it. This was an incredible experience; some of the rapids were nuts!
