With a deep connection to Australia, a place I proudly call home, I've cherished over a decade of memories there. From the bliss of wading into the warm Indian Ocean to the exhilarating hum of Harley Davidsons on the freeway and the ethereal blue haze of eucalyptus trees gazing at the Three Sisters. Australia's the only place where traffic jams happen because kangaroos bounce across the road, and the enchanting town of Coober Pedy lies underground, a true wonder.
Balinese magic has woven itself into my heart through more than 20 visits to Bali. Experiencing the world through the eyes of the Balinese people has left an indelible mark on my life. Walking down Poppies Lane, with the tantalizing scents of Nasi Goreng wafting through the air while hearing the locals' warm greetings of "Ronda" and "Ketut" is an experience I'll never tire of.
As a seasoned traveler and travel professional with over 25 years in the industry, I've explored six continents and accumulated a treasure trove of experiences. Meet Alison Clark...
My love affair with travel ignited back in 1994, shortly after welcoming my first child into the world. Since that moment, I've been captivated by the allure of exploration and adventure. My journeys have taken me to some remarkable corners of the globe, but one of my standout memories is the Pacific Coast Highway in California. Days were spent immersed in the opulence of Hearst Castle, paddling along the breathtaking expanse of Big Sur, and evenings found me beside a crackling campfire on Avila Beach, spellbound by the sun's descent.
While I adore action-packed adventures, I also relish serene getaways. For the ultimate switch-off experience, I wholeheartedly recommend the Maldives. It's a place where I felt like I had my private desert island, and it stands as the most beautiful and awe-inspiring destination in my travels. Stepping onto a seaplane, spotting the barefoot pilots, and knowing that the most challenging decision you'll make is your next cocktail selection – that's the essence of the Maldives.
My career in the travel industry has been an odyssey in itself. I began by specialising in European sun destinations, then ventured into selling the charm of the USA, the allure of the Caribbean, and other exotic, far-flung locales. I've also had the privilege of experiencing the magic of cruising, with a memorable Caribbean voyage out of Barbados marking a milestone birthday. For me, the most fulfilling part of this journey is turning my clients' dream holidays into reality. I relish the complexity of planning, the challenge of crafting bespoke, once-in-a-lifetime trips, and the sheer joy of witnessing those dreams come true.
